Knowledge Sharing IAF BINUS INTERNATIONAL About Establishment of Social Account in Indonesia

The International Accounting and Finance (IAF) Program received the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) EPAS accreditation in October last year, for a period of three years.  BINUS University International is the first Indonesian university to be awarded this important accolade.  However, being awarded the accreditation is the beginning of retaining it and embarking on a program of improvement.

One activity that has been introduced is a program of Knowledge Sharing by academics with BINUS International, and in the future, experts outside BINUS.  The purpose of these sessions is to ensure that we keep up to date with new research and development.

IAF had their first knowledge sharing session recently led by Ibu Dewi Fitriasari Ph.D., CSRA, CMA on the topic “The establishment of social account in Indonesia: A Case Study”.  The social account relates to the benefit employees received from family companies by examining some of the earlier accounts.  Ibu Dewi addressed one of the earlier accounts of social accounts from The Mangkunegara of Surakarta, Central Java.  The expected results of this study is to narrate the development of the social account by presenting traces of regulated environment of sustainability in Indonesia.

Many questions were asked regarding the definition of social account to the comparability of the monarchy in Surakarta to other parts of Indonesia.
