WOMBAT: Highlighting Suburban Education in Jakarta

WOMBAT (Working to Meet a Better Education) is a social project made by the cooperation of 4 Binus International clubs: BEST, BINARY, BIPEDS, and BITE. The idea behind the social project is that the clubs wanted to make a platform where Binus International students can do social work and increasing their sense of philanthropy while fulfilling the community hours standard that Binus International has already set. The social project is run by the consideration of the feasibility from the committees’ side, while still being useful for the target audience that the clubs are after.

Students of Grade 8 MTS – Mandiri and their mentors

From this social project, it is hoped that this project can show students of Binus International the community and education in sub-urban areas of Jakarta, increasing their sense of philanthropy and concern for social issues, especially in Indonesia’s inequality in education.
