There are a variety of options for Binus International students to see the world. Our Communications students have traveled abroad to dozens of destinations, including the United States of America, Germany, Poland, Finland, Cambodia, Vietnam and many more.
Students can travel as part of an immersion program, as exchange student, or a double degree program.
With Northumbria School of Design based in picturesque Newcastle, England, students can learn and study at the very same place, where Jonathan Ive, Apple’s principle designer of the ‘i’ products graduated.
Students can in fact gain two degrees, one from Binus International and one from Northumbria School of Design, by studying three years in Indonesia and one in the UK.
Currently the Communications Program is in talks with other universities to gain this double degree program for new students.
Students can enjoy exchange programs all over the world. Whether it is the United States of America, Korea, Japan, or Germany, you name it – our students enjoy a six month experience oversees. When planning together with the program in advance, credits of students’ chosen university abroad can be transferred. Our friendly oversees division is happy to help with consulting which universities to go to, VISA issues and accommodation queries.
Short Trips/ Immersions
Short study trips are available to other countries and even sometimes available across programs. Students can leave Indonesia for a few days or weeks to gather new experiences during semester breaks.
We offer immersion and exchange programs to hundreds of destinations.Immersion programs are usually short trips as part of a class, where we explore foreign cities and visit international universities. One of the most popular immersion programs is for example our Passage to Asia program (P2A), where students visit three ASEAN countries within a ten day trip.
As part of our immersion programs students have also visited in the past Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Barcelona, Amsterdam and other cities.
Visitors to Binus International
We are honored to welcome every year exchange students from all over the world. Based in the Sudirman area of Jakarta, foreign students with no knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia are warmly recommended to stay at Binus Square (at least until you get settled in).
A great way to explore Jakarta is to look into our exciting world of start-ups and incubators. For those who are interested or curious about doing social work and trying an urban adventure, – there are plenty of things to do and see in Jakarta and around. Get in touch with your Communications Program team to find out more.
