The Northumbria University and UK University Delegates Visited BINUS INTERNATIONAL and BINUS Northumbria School of Design

The Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of Northumbria University, Andrew Wathey, and several delegates from a UK university visited the BINUS fX Campus on Wednesday, 6 November 2019.

The visitation was opened with a welcoming session and campus tour where they could look around and observe the campus life, facilities, and student activities. The welcoming session was followed with a sharing session and panel discussion on the partnership between Northumbria University and BINUS.

In the sharing session, the speaker, Shaun Wellbourne-Wood, the Country Manager of Australian Technology Network (ATN) Indonesia, presented his topic on the R&D policy landscape in Indonesia, research opportunities, and research training issues.

Afterward, during the panel discussion, Andrew Wathey discussed the future plans and developments between Northumbria University and BINUS, such as joint research colloquia, a joint conference in 2021, the growth of programs in other disciplines, the scope for expansion with BINUS on campuses outside Java, and potential new models (including new forms of technology-enabled education).
